This little, bearded axe is made to last, bearing the name of its Norse ancestor from the first century. The CRKT Skeggox was created by James Williams, who employed a complete tang for increased strength and SK-5 carbon steel for enhanced edge retention.

The Skeggox is an effective travel companion for outdoor experiences, whether you’re camping or trekking. It is small and portable, weighing less than 2 pounds and being just over 12 inches long.

While reducing weight, the bearded blade expands the cutting edge to over 5 inches and offers a grip right behind the blade for finer work.

A curved, light-weight, glass-reinforced nylon handle with several grip options further increases versatility.

With its thermoplastic sheath and clip attachments, the Skeggox may be secured to a backpack and kept out of the way while you’re travelling.
