Ares Classic Line SMLE British No. 4 MK1

One name should be head and shoulders above the rest when discussing British weaponry, and rifles in particular, and for good cause.
Long before the start of the First World War, the Lee Enfield family of rifles was being developed. Lee Enfield rifles are still being made today.
Thankfully, copies are now slowly making their way onto the market, but none of them can compete with The Ares Lee Enfield Nm4 mk1, the pinnacle of true wood and steel!

With their 308s, K98ks, and now the infamously chambered 303, Ares has really been concentrating on copies of larger bore rifles lately.
I, for one, am ecstatic about this since I adore my old-school, genuine battle guns and am a big rifle sort of guy.
With a sturdy build, a smooth bolt pull, and an innovative magazine-based feeding system, this addition to the line of historical Ares rifles does not disappoint in the least.

Speaking of boxes, it comes in a specially designed case shaped to resemble a wooden crate, and within, the weapon is presented in all its glorious detail and is wrapped in oiled brown paper.

We now understand why the Ares number 4 has been described as “museum quality” after getting our hands on it.
It is an incredibly beautiful replica.
There is absolutely no indication that the metal work is die-cast anywhere, and the wood is superior to any other products on the market.
beautifully finished and presented.
We would be equally content to carry it around the skirmishing field as we would be to display it on a wall.

The wait has been long, but boy have Ares delivered a superbly manufactured and beautifully presented reproduction with a rarely seen level of attention to detail.
