CRKT Biwa™
A lightweight knife designed for whatever is served at the campfire.
The CRKT Biwa /bee-wah/ is the fixed-blade knife of choice for hunting and fishing when even the least extra weight matters. It conceals itself as discretely as a few extra dry flies at only 45.3 grammes, yet when that catch touches your line, it comes out swinging.
After facing demand from his minimalist hunting buddies to produce a multipurpose hunting knife that was lightweight, Melbourne, Florida-based designer Alan Folts created the bespoke knife that would eventually become the Biwa. The Biwa, named after a type of Japanese trout, hits the mark.
The satin-finished blade’s lengthy distal taper is a powerful tool for paring, capping, and other tasks. Even if the entire knife slips out of view, you will still be able to locate the blade thanks to the checkering on the G10 handle. Strong, injection-molded sheaths attach to packs or transform into neck knives with ease.
Wild animals of the outdoors, beware!
