The CRKT HomefrontTM may resemble your grandfather’s vintage WWII knife, yet it conceals a remarkable feature. HomefrontTM features an Assisted Opening with IKBSTM ball bearing pivot system that gives this folding knife a quick and smooth operation below its conventional exterior.

To stay true to its vintage roots, Ken Onion created the everyday carry HomefrontTM from his business in Kaneohe, Hawaii. The 3.5″ redesigned drop point blade opens smoothly thanks to the bayonet lug-style flipper, and the backstrap’s tank tread-inspired jimping fits firmly in your palm.

It has the appearance of a WWII relic and can handle any work. A blade made of Sandvik 12C27TM steel with outstanding edge retention is housed in a lightweight, durable handle made of aircraft-grade aluminium. It has a deep-carry clip that enables it to ride low in the pocket, staying true to its role as an everyday carry.

The HomefrontTM, which looks traditional from the outside but is impressively modern inside, is poised to change everything.

The Workings of Assisted Opening

The blade is held firmly closed in your pocket, but as you start the deployment and halfway through the rotation, it quickly rotates open for a quick, effective, one-handed opening.
