CRKT Ord™

The CRKT OdrTM has a dual-purpose head that chops like an axe and breaks ground like a pick, with a conventional axe blade on one side and a spike on the other. A useful tool to have around the house or at camp that works well for breaking through stony ground and splitting wood.

The OdrTM is called after Frejya’s husband, who was both powerful and light enough to be used by common mortals to protect the land of Fólkvangr. Frejya is a Norse goddess of love and war.

The head is made of corrosion-resistant 1055 carbon steel, which is extremely durable. The handle was carved from Tennessee hickory and fire treated for a dark grain and upscale appearance.

Elmer Roush, a blacksmith and Army veteran who is a part of CRKT’s Forged By War® programme, has been working on the CRKT OdrTM for many years. Elmer is the creator of the CRKT OdrTM. Elmer picked up the hammer after his return from the Vietnam War and hasn’t put it down since.
