Ares have developed and manufactured this replica under the FN Herstal licence. The copy has been painstakingly crafted to closely resemble the original in every way, including official markings, dimensions, and materials.
Because of its reduced size and improved ergonomics, the SCAR-SC is better suited for close quarters combat and personal defence weaponry (PDW). While the AEG’s full metal construction gives it some heaviness, the -SC’s diminutive size makes it suitable for cutting corners and competing with the ultra-compact M4s, SMG-5s, and AR-9s that are presently kings of CQB sites. The SCAR-SC is an excellent choice if you’re looking for a realistic, heavy rifle that is yet short enough to manoeuvre in a confined close quarters battleground. A beautiful steel three-prong flash hider, identical to the one on the original SCAR-SC, sits atop the 7.5-inch alloy outer barrel. If you’re not satisfied with the way this muzzle device appears on your SCAR-SC, you can swap it out for any suppressor, tracer, or muzzle device that is compatible with 14mm CCW male thread.
Realistic replica of a real rifle with a polymer lower receiver and a high-quality full-metal upper receiver. The gearbox is programmable via the EFCS control box, which is supplied separately, and features the unique ARES Electronic Fire Control System (EFCS – Safe / Semi / 3rd Burst / Full Auto). Furthermore, the gearbox is a state-of-the-art, reinforced design that features a quick change spring system.
Features three-position ambidextrous selectors and magazine releases that are easy to use with either hand, a monolithic rail at 12 o’clock, and extra rails at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock for standard 20mm RIS optics, grips, lights, and lasers. A large rubberized butt pad adds comfort, and the special three-position adjustable PDW stock folds far further than a regular buffer tube stock.
