“The next assault rifle evolution” is what Heckler and Koch itself calls the 5th generation of the successful HK416 series. As an AEG, the HK416 A5 brings this claim to the airsoft fields in caliber 6 mm BB. Proof that it has its place right there is provided by its competition capability out-of-the-box with MOSFET, tuning Shoot-up, and precision barrel. The latter has a diameter of just 6.03 mm and, in combination with the adjustable shoot-up, guides the 6 mm BB in an enormously controlled manner to the muzzle with M14x1 thread for tracer and silencer units. Visually alone, the magazine stands out with the current Generation 3 design. It holds 120 rounds, but can also be optionally switched to 30 rounds. Typical of the A5 version of the HK416, the operation is completely ambidextrous. The fire selector, the bolt catch and the magazine release can be operated from both sides and a flip-up sight is mounted on the upper rail of the picatinny quadrail.
The most up to date replica of the Heckler and Koch Hk 416 series, this rifle has been lovingly recreated by Umarex fully licensed by H&K themselves. This airsoft AEG rifle is constructed almost fully of metal, so feels as robust and weighty as the real thing. The internals match the solidly put together externals, featuring an 8mm bearing gearbox, metal tooth piston and mosfet pre fitted to extend the life of the trigger contacts.
