KWA Lithgow Arms Licensed F90 GBBR
After four years of collaboration, the Australian Department of Defence was able to acquire the legally licenced F90 from Lithgow Arms through a cooperation with Thales Australia.
Shorter pull length, longer top picatinny rail, more picatinny space between the 3 and 6 o’clock positions, and a foldable, non-reciprocating charging handle are just a few ways the KWA F90 GBB improves upon the original AUG design. There are two stages to the F90’s trigger: half a pull activates semi automatic mode, while a full squeeze activates full auto. An integral part of the rifle’s trigger assembly, the automatic lockout trigger (“ALO”) prevents the trigger from fully moving to automatic fire by means of a pull tab situated at the base of the trigger.
The modular stock/receiver to barrel interface with one pin take down, the expansion slot for integrated grenade launcher in the trigger housing, the waffle patterned AUG style magazine, the ambidextrous magazine release, the mock adjustable gas block and the ambi/adjustable ejection port are all features that the KWA F90 GBB borrowed heavily from the GBB rifles used by the Australian Army.
With minor tweaks to the hop up and bolt carrier, the F90’s internals are very similar to those of our current GBB product range.
