Spyderco Watu

The original Spyderco Chokwe was a cherished member of the Ethnic Series of blades, taking design cues from the traditional knife of the Chokwe people of Central and Southern Africa.

The Watu carries on this illustrious tradition by reducing the original ethnic pattern into a more manageable size. Its unusual triangular blade is made of stainless steel CPM® 20CV and is fully flat-ground.

It comes with an open-backed, coffin-shaped handle, a high-strength Compression Lock® mechanism, gorgeous carbon fiber/G-10 laminate scales, and full, skeletonized stainless steel liners. A convertible deep-pocket wire clip that provides a left- or right-side tip-up carry complements these advantages.

The Watu was inspired by the traditional ethnic knives of Central Africa, and Spyderco is proud to return some of the proceeds from each sale to its home country.
